Courageous Cruise 049 Hydrology Data, 1979

This dataset contains the processed Hydrology (HYD) data collected on Courageous cruise 049. The voyage took place on the North West Shelf between North West Cape and Broome during April-May 1979. Three hydrology transects were completed across the shelf, opposite Legendre Island, Port Hedland and Broome. This dataset has been processed and is archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage. Courageous on-voyage hydrology data are typically obtained from water samples collected in Nansen bottles at various depths. Parameters measured comprise some or all of the following: temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen, phosphate, nitrate, silicate, and nitrite. For further details consult the Divisional Data Centre.
