Franklin Voyage FR 10/89 Expendable Bathythermograph (XBT) Data

This dataset contains the processed Expendable Bathythermograph (XBT) data collected on Franklin voyage FR 10/89. The voyage took place in the Tasman and Coral Seas during 15 August - 6 September 1989. This dataset has been processed and is archived within the CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research Data Centre in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the cruise report for this voyage and/or the data processing report (as available). XBT data typically comprises temperature and depth readings relayed to the surface at intervals of 0.1 seconds as the probe passes through the top few hundred metres of the ocean.
