RV Investigator Voyage IN2019_T01 Hydrology Data

This record describes Hydrology (HYD) data collected from the Marine National Facility (MNF) RV Investigator voyage IN2019_T01, titled: "Collaborative Australian Postgraduate Sea Training Alliance (CAPSTAN)". The voyage took place from Hobart (TAS) to Freemantle (WA) between April 29 and May 9, 2019. The main objective of the voyage was to provide post-graduate students hands-on training experiences with standard modern sampling equipment used in marine research, encompassing geological, biological, chemical, physical oceanographic and atmospheric equipment. Water samples collected during the voyage were assayed in the ship’s hydrochemistry laboratory for nutrients, dissolved oxygen, and their salinity measured. The samples came from deployments of the conductivity, temperature and depth (CTD) rosette. Five nutrients were analysed; silicate, phosphate, nitrate + nitrite, nitrite and ammonium. Certified reference materials for nutrients in seawater were within the specified limits of the certified value. This dataset has been archived at the CSIRO O&A Information and Data Centre (IDC) in Hobart. Additional information regarding this dataset is contained in the Voyage Report and Data Processing Report.
