The Squirrel Glider

Squirrel Gliders are small possums that possess a unique gliding membrane that allows them to glide from tree to tree. They are nocturnal, meaning they are active at night, feeding on nectar or pollen, tree sap and also small invertebrates and animals.Squirrel Gliders are often mistaken with the very similar looking Sugar Glider. Squirrel Gliders are larger, have a thicker/bushier tail, different face shape and lack a white tip on the tail which is observed in Sugar Gliders. Across Wodonga these two species cross over whilst in Albury, Squirrel Gliders tend to be more common.
